Rooted in Remembering. Guided by Light.

Treatment is a right,
not a privilege

We help individuals access ibogaine and iboga treatment — and the integration support they need — when they need it most.

Our Mission

The Solas Foundation is dedicated to expanding access to trauma-informed ibogaine treatment, iboga experiences, and integration support for individuals seeking relief from addiction, PTSD, neurodegenerative disorders, and spiritual emergencies.

Through financial assistance, ethical partnerships, and ongoing support, we offer more than treatment — we offer hope, dignity, and a chance to live a life worth living.

Our ultimate goal is safe, legal, and equitable access to effective new treatments for all who could benefit.

Two medicines, two paths

Understanding ibogaine & iboga

Both come from the same sacred plant. How they are used — and what they are best suited for — differs meaningfully.

Clinical Medicine

Ibogaine

Derived from the iboga plant · Used in clinical settings worldwide

Ibogaine is the primary psychoactive alkaloid extracted from iboga root bark. In clinical treatment, it is administered in controlled doses with medical monitoring — making it particularly effective for interrupting addiction cycles and resetting the brain's neurochemistry.

Its ability to dramatically reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings — often after a single session — has made it the subject of growing scientific research and clinical trials globally.

Sacred Plant Medicine

Iboga

Root bark of the Tabernanthe iboga shrub · Central Africa

Iboga is the whole plant in its traditional form, used for centuries in Bwiti initiation ceremonies in Gabon and Cameroon. Rather than an extracted compound, iboga is a full-spectrum medicine — held as a living teacher and spirit ally.

Ceremony with iboga is a deeply immersive experience, often lasting 24 hours or more — particularly suited to those seeking profound spiritual reckoning, ancestral healing, or a fundamental shift in their relationship with themselves.

A remarkable beginning!

On June 4, 2026, the Solas Foundation held its inaugural fundraiser in Ridgefield, Connecticut — a memorable evening of community, education, and hope.

Guests gathered to learn about the mission of the Solas Foundation and the potential of iboga and ibogaine to support healing for individuals facing addiction, trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other life-altering challenges. We were honored to welcome guest speaker Troy Valencia, who shared his knowledge, experience, and passion for expanding access to transformative healing opportunities.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the event raised $26,000, providing the foundation for our first treatment grants and bringing us one step closer to helping individuals access care that might otherwise be financially out of reach.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and believed in our vision. This event marked more than a successful fundraiser — it marked the beginning of a growing community dedicated to healing, hope, and transformation.

Together, we are creating pathways to healing and helping ensure that financial barriers do not stand in the way of recovery.

A personal note from Deborah

Founded by integrative psychotherapist and psychedelic integration specialist Deborah Kadagian, Solas was born from both professional insight and personal experience. With years of supporting individuals through transformation and deep integration work, Deborah recognized a critical gap in access — those who could benefit most from alternative healing approaches but lack the resources to pursue them.

Too often, those seeking this kind of treatment are unable to access it due to financial barriers. Solas exists to change that, offering a pathway for individuals who would otherwise be excluded from receiving this care.

This foundation came together in the blink of an eye. I was sharing with someone how unfortunate it is that those who could most benefit from what I consider the most effective addiction treatment — ibogaine — are often the least able to afford it. In that moment, a voice rose up inside me: “Put your money where your mouth is.” It was loud and insistent.

And then the word Solas appeared in my mind — Gaelic for “light.” And just like that, this journey began.

While a foundation like this may not change the world overnight, it can absolutely change one life at a time. And that change ripples outward — because when one person heals, it touches families, communities, and generations. All is vibration. Our aim is to elevate that vibration by making this powerful treatment accessible to the 99%.

I discovered ibogaine in 2016 while searching for alternatives for my son, who was struggling with addiction. After exhausting the conventional rehab options in the U.S., we found a clinic in Tijuana — it was a bit of the Wild West at the time. But it worked. My son experienced profound healing and went on to study shamanism in Peru, exploring plant medicines and deeper layers of himself.

Tragically, during the early days of the COVID lockdown, after moving to a new city, he accidentally overdosed on fentanyl. He had invited new friends into his home, not knowing the danger that lay ahead. To say that a bright light went out in this world that day is a massive understatement.

I know for sure that in the spirit world, his light continues to shine — and I feel him cheering me on with this new endeavor.

Some of the most sensitive, creative, and beautiful souls are hidden beneath the pain of addiction. Help us help them. Pay it forward if you can.

With much gratitude,

Deborah Kadagian
