Solas Foundation collects and uses personal information from donors that includes donor name, address, telephone number, amount donated, donor comments, and email address. Tax laws require the Solas Foundation to keep contact information and contribution levels of donors on file.
Solas will never publish, sell, trade, rent or share the names, email or mail addresses, or telephone numbers of our donors. We will use contact information only for the following purposes:
All electronic communications from Solas contain unsubscribe options and a link to our privacy policy. Donors contributing online can choose to donate anonymously, though Solas will still receive basic donor information (billing name, city, state) which is kept in an anonymous donor record file. Donors may also share their communication preferences in the comments section provided. You may contact info@solas-foundation.org to update your communication preferences at any time.
All access to donor financial information is strictly limited to the professional staff that processes this data. No such data are given to any person, organization, or group that does not need to access that data. Online donation transactions are encrypted while in transit and are not stored by Solas.
Payment information may be taken in the form of Google Pay, PayPal, Venmo, or using a credit or debit card. Solas utilizes a third-party payment processing entity, Givebutter, to process your donations. Please refer to Givebutter's Terms of Service for more information.
Philanthropy is based on voluntary action for the common good. It is a tradition of giving and sharing that is primary to the quality of life.
